From time to time (especially after the big contests) I get large stacks of QSL cards, which I answer using CQRLOG. But I always found it a bit tedious to go through the CQRLOG QSO list using CTRL+F for the search, CTRL+R for changing the QSL received status, and CTRL+W for setting the SB (send buro) status. After 20 or 30 cards at the latest, I get a cramp in my left hand :)

So, I’ve developed a little terminal tool using Python to help efficiently process incoming paper QSL cards. You can find a description and the script here: https://github.com/dk5tx/cqrlog-qsl-accelerator/

This tool does not do the sorting, add QSL Managers, or handle the export for label printing. It just quickly sets the flags directly in the database (Q for received QSL, SB for will send via buro). The rest of the QSL workflow is best done right inside CQRLOG.

Note that setting an ‘SM’ (Send Manager) status is intentionally left out. I run CQRLOG’s ‘Auto add QSL Managers’ function later on and sort the queued cards for export then.

Any questions or suggestions are welcome! Let me know via email.
